The Dating Contract

Sometimes there are issues that are uncomfortable to bring up when talking to your teen-child, You may hope that by not discussing them, they just will not happen. Dating and sex is the most common area that most parents and their teen-child see things differently. When you try to discuss it, you hear “Times have changed, everyone is doing it now!” or “Geez Mom, do we have to talk about this? I know all of this stuff already!”

In the Dating Contract, there are a couple of fill in the blanks that pertain to how old they have to be to start dating. We have listed several rules that are listed as: “Appropriate” or “Not Appropriate”. We have left a few lines in each section blank so that you can put in rules that would help your teen-child align with your specific family values.
